“Band Melam”, starring “Court” fame Harsh Roshan and Sridevi as the lead pair, is gearing up for release on March 13. Presented by Mango Mass Media and produced under the Kona Film Corporation banner by Kona Venkat, the film is directed by Satish Javvaji.
The teaser of the film was unveiled on Tuesday in the presence of music director S. Thaman and actor Sivaji, who attended the event as chief guests.
Sivaji praised the team and expressed confidence in the film’s success. He revealed that he was initially approached for a role but chose not to take it up as he felt it might appear routine for him. Calling Sridevi a talented actress and Harsh Roshan a gifted performer with a bright future, he said “Band Melam” would take everyone associated with it to the next level.
Thaman credited Kona Venkat for playing a key role in shaping his career, especially after “Dookudu”, and described him as someone with a “golden hand.”
He said he was delighted to attend the teaser launch and added that watching Harsh Roshan and Sridevi reminded him of the youthful charm of “Nuvve Kavali.” He also appreciated Vijai Bulganin’s songs and wished the film a massive success on March 13.
