Theaters have remained shut in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In Vizag and other places, a couple of multiplexes have begun operations but they have no new Telugu content available. Single screen theaters in both AP and Telangana are expected to resume screenings in December.

Meanwhile, streaming companies, from Amazon to Netflix, have lined up new Telugu releases in November. Here is the list…

Miss India – Netflix – Nov 4

Keerthy Suresh starrer ‘Miss India’ is the first Telugu film to stream in November. The much-awaited woman-centric movie is directed by newcomer and produced by Mahesh Koneru.

‘Miss India’ is a corporate drama. Keerthy Suresh appears as an aspiring entrepreneur. How she navigates in the murkier world of the corporate world battling sexism forms the main story.

Thaman has composed the music. Keerthy Suresh earlier had a direct digital release with ‘Penguin’ and this is her second such release.

Gatham – Amazon Prime – Nov 6

Amazon Prime has suddenly announced the release plans of an unheard Telugu thriller titled ‘Gatham’. Directed by debutant Kiran, the film has newcomers in the lead roles.

Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra – Amazon Prime – Nov 12

Besides Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Miss India’, the only other notable biggie that is streaming in November is Suriya’s ‘Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra’. A big star like Suriya agreeing to release his movie directly on an OTT platform is a daring move. Touted to be based on the life of Gopinath R, the founder of Air Deccan, ‘Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra’ has generated good buzz with its trailer.

Sudha Kongara of ‘Guru’ fame has directed this film.

Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma – Aha – Nov 13

Aha app has become a platform for low-budgeted films. It has been pushing dubbed films or Telugu movies made with a low budget. Siddhu Jonnalagedda and Seerat Kapoor who recently appeared as the pair in ‘Krishna and His Leela’ have now come with this romantic drama.

Anaganaga O Athidhi – Aha – Nov 13

Like we said above, this Payal Rajput and Chaithanya Krishna starrer is another low-cost thriller that is streaming on the Aha platform directly this month.

Ammoru Thalli – Hotstar – Nov 14

‘Ammoru Thalli’ is the dubbed version of Nayanthara’s upcoming Tamil movie, Mookuthi Amman. Directed by actor RJ Balaji, the film streams on Disney+Hotstar in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously from November 14. It is a satirical drama on religious gurus.

Middle Class Melodies – Amazon Prime – Nov 20

Vijay Deverakonda’s brother Anand Deverakonda made debut as a lead actor in ‘Dorasaani’. His second film titled ‘Middle Class Melodies’ is all set to stream on Amazon. This is a direct digital release. Produced by Bhavya Creations, the film stars Varsha Bollamma as the heroine.
