People may troll his movies but you cannot ignore him and that is Nandamuri Balakrishna. The hero of the masses is slowly but steadily losing his ground. His popularity has come down this year and many say that he needs to change with time and stop selecting outdated subjects.
2019 was an insulting year for Balayya. His dream project, NTR Biopic, which was released in two parts as NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu, was a disaster at the box office.
The film did not even make 10 crores at the box office which is an insult to his star status. More than the film, Balayya’s dream of playing his dad, the legendary NTR, was shattered. His attempt to gain the losses, he did an out and out mass movie, Ruler which was released on Dec 20th. This film also flopped big time.
The only solace for him was the victory as the MLA in the recently concluded elections. Even though TDP flopped miserably, Balayya was reelected as Hindupur MLA.
Overall, Balayya had a dismal 2019.
