Telangana government has not granted permission for paid premiere shows or ticket price hikes until late night. The G.O for the permission for holding premiere shows came around 8.30 PM. As a result, the makers of The Raja Saab were forced to cancel the planned 9 PM paid premieres in Telangana.
However, the situation is different in Andhra Pradesh. Premiere shows scheduled between 8:45 PM and 10 PM across the state are going ahead as planned. Advance bookings for these shows have already opened on ticketing platforms, with fans and audiences rushing to secure their tickets.
Meanwhile, the USA premieres are set to begin in about three hours, adding to the film’s global buzz.
The Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government has been oscillating on the issue—initially maintaining a strict “no permissions” stance on premiere shows and ticket hikes, only to consider last-minute approvals. The Raja Saab got the permission at the last minute. This indecision has cost The Raja Saab valuable time during a crucial release window.
Directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, The Raja Saab stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar as the female leads. Notably, it is the first major release of the Sankranthi 2026 season, making the pre-release hurdles even more significant.
