A lot of buzz surrounded two directors, Bobby and Gopichand Malineni, after they delivered two hits, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, respectively, earlier this year. Bobby was said to be directing none other than superstar Rajinikanth. It was also widely reported that Tamil superstar Vijay gave Gopichand Malineni his nod for their collaboration.

However, Rajinikanth did not accept Bobby’s film. Instead, he gave green signal to two young Tamil directors. According to the latest rumors in the Tamil film industry, Vijay has also rejected Gopichand Malineni’s proposal.

Vijay, who recently appeared in Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally’s ‘Varisu’/’Varasudu,’ is said to have agreed to star in director Venkat Prabhu’s film. Despite the fact that Venkat Prabhu’s most recent Telugu film, Custody, bombed, he was able to secure Vijay’s agreement for his story idea. AGS, a major production company in Tamil film industry, will produce it.

Vijay is currently working on Lokesh Kanagaraju’s film ‘Leo’. He plans to take on Venkat Prabhu’s project by the end of the year. So, Gopichand Malineni is forced to look for another project.
