She has now clarified the rumors surrounding her engagement. Speculations about her engagement began when a picture of her with actor Jayam Ravi surfaced. However, the picture is from the opening ceremony of the movie “Brother,” in which they are playing the lead pair.
It is common practice in the Tamil film industry to wear Poola Maala (garland). The actors and other main technicians wear garlands at the movie launch ceremony. Those unfamiliar with this tradition often mistake it for a wedding ceremony. The same situation occurred when rumors circulated about Priyanka Mohan’s engagement. Furthermore, Jayam Ravi recently divorced his wife.
Reacting to this viral picture, Priyanka Mohan said she heard about it very late. She also said the film production houses should stop sharing such pictures with the media, as they would create wrong perceptions.
