We’ve just written about how Telugu superstars seem to be losing interest in sequels and part-twos. Yet, some Telugu producers still don’t appear to fully understand the dynamics of the film business.
One such example is producer TG Vishwa Prasad, who has been struggling to wrap up the shooting of “The Raja Saab” for years now. The film’s release date has already been changed three or four times.
Now, “The Raja Saab” is being postponed yet again, from December to January 2025. Despite this, the producer is now talking about turning it into a franchise. He claims there will be a part two set in a completely different universe.
The film was launched during the COVID-19 era, but shooting is still incomplete. Director Maruthi’s career is riding entirely on this project. Even so, the producer is already envisioning a franchise.
“The Raja Saab” stars Prabhas, who himself has yet to begin work on the sequels to “Salaar” and “Kalki 2898 AD”. Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal play the female leads, while Riddhi Kumar is also part of the cast. Music is composed by Thaman.
