Meena lost her husband Vidya Sagar three years ago. Vidya Sagar passed away in 2022 at the age of 48 due to a lung infection. Living with her teenage daughter, Meena soon became the subject of rumors about her alleged second marriage.
Some reports claimed that she would be tying the knot with Tamil star Dhanush.
In a recent appearance on the talk show Jayammu Nischayamu Ra, hosted by actor Jagapathi Babu, Meena opened up about the distress caused by these baseless rumors. She revealed that the unverified reports linking her to other actors, especially so soon after her husband’s demise, deeply affected her and her family.
“I felt these rumor mongers don’t have a heart or family of their own. They constantly tried to link me with any star who had divorced his spouse. It was a painful experience,” Meena recalled.
