Varanasi: Hoardings fuel release date buzz

“Varanasi” is one of the most ambitious Indian films currently in production, marking the first-ever collaboration between ace director SS Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra as the female lead, with Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran playing a crucial role.

Following the recent release of its much-talked-about video glimpse, fresh buzz has now taken over social media. Reports suggest that movie poster hoardings related to “Varanasi” have surfaced in the holy city of Varanasi, announcing an alleged theatrical release date of April 7, 2027.

Interestingly, the hoardings do not feature the film’s title, Rajamouli’s name, or the production house details. However, the mention of the release date has sparked widespread speculation online, with many believing it to be an early indication of Varanasi’s release plan.

Touted as a film that blends mythology and time travel, “Varanasi” is said to be the most ambitious project of Rajamouli’s career. After achieving global recognition with “RRR,” the director is reportedly aiming for an even bigger international footprint with this film.

Currently, the ongoing shooting schedule is underway in Hyderabad, and Priyanka Chopra recently arrived in the city to resume filming. The makers are expected to wrap up the entire shoot by the end of this year.

However, there is no official confirmation yet regarding the release date.
