Dulquer Salmaan offers apology to Tamil people

Handsome Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan got trolled by Tamil people on social media over a dialogue in his recent Malayalam movie ‘Varane Avashyamund’. A section of Tamil audiences felt that Dulquer Salmaan insulted Tamil people. The film directed by Anoop Sathyan has Kalyani Priyadarshan as the main actress and Sobhana in a key role.

Dulquer Salmaan is not new to Tamil and Telugu audiences. He had acted in Mani Ratnam’s ‘OK Kanmani’ and ‘Mahanati’. His recent Tamil film ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’ (‘Kanulu Kanulu Dochayante’ in Telugu) was also appreciated. However, some Tamil people used abusive words against Dulquer for a joke with the reference of Prabhakaran.

Dulquer was quick to respond and he offered his apologies if anyone got offended. To all those who were offended. I apologize. And I also apologize on behalf of #VaraneAvashyamund and
@DQsWayfarerFilm,” he posted.
