Sreeleela’s rough patch continues as 2026 begins with flops

Sreeleela continues to struggle for a solid hit in Telugu cinema. Despite pairing with top stars like Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan in recent times, she is yet to score a blockbuster success.

The actress had pinned high hopes on 2026, especially as she expanded her career into Tamil and Bollywood. With her debut films in both industries lined up for release this year, expectations were high for a fresh start. However, the year has not begun on a positive note for her. Her first Tamil outing “Parasakthi”, opposite Sivakarthikeyan, failed to impress at the box office. The film, which she banked on heavily, ended up being rejected by audiences.

This was followed by “Ustaad Bhagat Singh”, starring Pawan Kalyan, which released last week. The first week trend clearly indicates that the film too is heading towards a disappointing result.

With two setbacks in the first three months of the year, the pressure is mounting on Sreeleela. She has worked on her appearance, shedding weight and presenting a more refined look. There are also visible improvements in her performance, with glimpses of maturity seen in certain sequences of both films.

Yet, the much-needed big success alongside A-list stars continues to elude her.

Looking ahead, Sreeleela is set to make her Bollywood debut later this year. Whether that film will bring her the breakthrough she is waiting for remains to be seen.

Despite the recent failures, the 23-year-old actress continues to stay busy. She has already signed a Tamil film opposite Dhanush and is also part of another major Bollywood project. For now, all eyes are on whether she can bounce back with a much-needed hit soon.
