Rajamouli takes ‘Varanasi’ to France for global promotions

S. S. Rajamouli and his team are aggressively promoting their upcoming film “Varanasi” on global platforms, even as the shoot is still underway. The team has already given multiple interviews to Hollywood media outlets, and several international journalists were invited to Hyderabad to witness the film’s масштаб sets and behind-the-scenes filmmaking.

Taking the promotions a step further, the team has begun leveraging major international film events. “Varanasi” was recently showcased at an event in Mexico as part of its global outreach strategy.

Rajamouli is now set to head to France for another round of promotions. A France-based movie digital publisher shared on social media that the filmmaker will be visiting the country for a series of events towards the end of June.

“Varanasi” is described as a globe-trotting adventure that blends time travel with elements inspired by the Ramayana. The film stars Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles and is slated for a theatrical release in April 2027.
