Ravi Mohan’s outburst: I will not act until I get divorce

Ravi Mohan opens up about alleged harassment by his wife Aarti during an emotional media interaction.

A day after his girlfriend Keneeshaa Francis announced that she would be cutting ties with him, Tamil actor Ravi Mohan, popularly known as Jayam Ravi, met the press and addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding his personal life.

Speaking emotionally, Ravi Mohan alleged that his wife Aarti had been harassing him ever since their marriage and declared that he would not act in films until he legally secures a divorce from her.

“I want to make one thing clear — until my divorce is finalized, my films will not release and I will not take up acting. Right now, I am in no state of mind to perform. The constant and unnecessary insults I have been subjected to have deeply affected me,” he said.

He further added, “I will no longer remain silent. Let whatever has to happen, happen. I will also sort out my professional commitments and find a way to resolve everything step by step.”

During the interaction, Ravi Mohan also made serious allegations against his wife, accusing her of harassment and even claiming that black magic was being used against him. He said he wants his two sons to remain with him. The divorce case between Ravi Mohan and Aarti is currently being heard in court.

Without naming her directly, the actor also alleged that a certain “idly” actress, while projecting herself as a feminist, had interfered in personal life.

Meanwhile, industry circles are speculating that Keneeshaa Francis may have amicably distanced herself from him in order to avoid further complications during the divorce proceedings.
