Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turns heads at Cannes 2026
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back. She once again stole the spotlight at the Cannes Film Festival with a striking appearance on the red carpet.
Representing L’Oréal Paris, the Bollywood icon marked her 24th appearance at the prestigious festival during the premiere of “Histoires de la Nuit (The Birthday Party)” at the 79th edition of Cannes.
She wore a custom-designed abyss-blue gown created by celebrated Indian designer Amit Aggarwal. The elaborate outfit reportedly took more than 1,500 hours of craftsmanship and featured intricate crystal vein embroidery, dramatic sculpted shoulders, and a long flowing train.
The look also reminded many fans of Aishwarya’s memorable navy-blue Cannes appearance from 2006.
Festival director Thierry Frémaux and Cannes president Iris Knobloch warmly welcomed the actress on the red carpet, where she drew massive attention from photographers and fans alike.
Later in the evening, Aishwarya changed into a pink outfit for the L’Oréal Women of Worth Awards event. Despite the chatter, Aishwarya once again proved why she remains one of Cannes’ most celebrated global fashion icons.
