Slumdog Teaser

Vijay Sethupathi has teamed up with director Puri Jagannadh for the first time for the pan-Indian action drama “Slumdog – 33 Temple Road”, simply referred to as “Slumdog”. The film’s teaser was unveiled today, offering a glimpse into a gritty world packed with action, emotion, and Puri Jagannadh’s trademark style.

The teaser opens with Vijay Sethupathi’s voice-over, reflecting on the harsh realities of life. He speaks about people who struggle for survival and seek shelter under trees when it rains, setting the tone.

The visuals then reveal Vijay Sethupathi as a beggar who poses to be blind. However, beneath that vulnerable exterior lies a fierce fighter, as the teaser showcases him taking on goons in a series of intense action sequences. The contrast between his seemingly helpless appearance and his explosive action avatar forms the teaser’s highlight.

The promo also introduces Samyuktha in a glamorous role and Tabu as a police officer. Cut largely around action episodes, the teaser is backed by an energetic English track composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.

Overall, the teaser presents Vijay Sethupathi in a rugged and intriguing character while carrying all the signature elements associated with Puri Jagannadh’s filmmaking. Whether it is the hero’s attitude, the action blocks, or the stylized presentation, the director’s stamp is evident throughout.

The film also features Duniya Vijay, Zarina Wahab, VTV Ganesh, and Brahmaji in key roles. Produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, and JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla, “Slumdog” is gearing up for a pan-Indian release in multiple languages.
