Speculation is growing that Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated sci-fi epic “Raaka”, directed by Atlee, could arrive in theaters on December 2, 2027. The buzz gained momentum on social media.

Produced by Sun Pictures, “Raaka” is being mounted on a massive scale and marks Allu Arjun’s first film after the record-breaking success of “Pushpa 2”. The project is expected to be one of the most ambitious films in Indian cinema, with extensive VFX work playing a key role.

The film reportedly stars Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor. However, the makers have officially confirmed only Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone as part of the cast so far.

“Raaka” has been filming major portions in Mumbai for over a year. According to industry buzz, the shooting is expected to continue until the end of this year, while the extensive post-production and visual effects work could take another 10 months. This timeline is said to be one of the reasons behind the rumored December 2027 release plan.

December has proven to be a lucky month for Allu Arjun. Both installments of the “Pushpa” franchise were released during the holiday season and went on to become record-breaking blockbusters. Naturally, fans are excited about the possibility of “Raaka” continuing that successful trend.
