It is already known that Hrithik Roshan is set to play a special cameo in Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2”. Telugucinema.com had reported this development two months ago. The latest update is that the Bollywood superstar has now allotted dates for the film’s shoot.
“Jailer 2” is the sequel to the blockbuster “Jailer”, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The first installment turned out to be a sensational hit and featured memorable cameo appearances by Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar. For the sequel, the makers reportedly explored the possibility of bringing stars like Nandamuri Balakrishna and Shah Rukh Khan on board for special roles.
However, those plans did not materialize, and Hrithik Roshan eventually agreed to take up the cameo.
According to industry sources, Hrithik will shoot his portions in Chennai during the final week of this month.
Interestingly, Hrithik and Rajinikanth have shared screen space before. Hrithik appeared as a child actor alongside the Superstar in “Bhagwaan Dada” (1986), a film directed by his grandfather J. Om Prakash. Nearly four decades later, the two stars are set to reunite on screen in “Jailer 2”, making it a special moment for cinema fans.
