Irumudi Kattu: A soulful devotional song with a family bond

The makers of Ravi Teja’s much-awaited emotional family drama “Irumudi” have unveiled the film’s first single, “Irumudi Kattu.” Directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the song blends devotion with heartfelt family emotions.

The title refers to the sacred Irumudi, the offering carried by Lord Ayyappa devotees during the Mandala Deeksha before embarking on the pilgrimage to Sabarimala. The song beautifully captures the faith, discipline, and spiritual significance of this journey.

Composer GV Prakash Kumar delivers a stirring devotional melody that resonates with the essence of Ayyappa worship. Director Shiva Nirvana, along with lyricist Kalyan Chakravarthy, has penned meaningful lyrics that highlight the spiritual path of an Ayyappa devotee and the importance of carrying the Irumudi. Ananthu’s soulful vocals further enhance the devotional appeal.

The visuals add an emotional layer, showing Ravi Teja sharing touching moments with his on-screen daughter while expressing his devotion to Lord Ayyappa. The song also offers glimpses of Priya Bhavani Shankar and Baby Nakshatra, who play Ravi Teja’s wife and daughter, reinforcing the film’s family-centric theme.

The film also features Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Ramesh Indira, and Swasika in key roles.

“Irumudi” is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 21.
