Yellamma: Four actresses in the mix, but no heroine confirmed

Director Venu Yeldandi’s “Yellamma” has been generating strong buzz ever since it was announced. While the project has already seen a major change with music director Devi Sri Prasad replacing Nithiin as the lead, the makers are still searching for the film’s heroine.
Produced by Dil Raju, the film is currently under production. However, the female lead is yet to be finalized despite several actresses reportedly being considered over the past few months.
Sai Pallavi was the first actress whose name was linked to the project. Reports suggested she was in talks, but she eventually did not come on board. Later, Keerthy Suresh was said to have been approached, though the actress herself clarified that she was not part of the film.
The speculation then shifted to Mrunal Thakur, with reports claiming she was close to signing the project. However, that collaboration also did not materialize.
Most recently, Bhagyashri Borse revealed in an interview that she too was approached for “Yellamma”, confirming that she was among the actresses considered for the role.
With at least four prominent actresses publicly linked to the film and none of them joining the project, the heroine’s role has become one of the biggest talking points surrounding “Yellamma”. The reasons behind each actress opting out remain different, but the search for the female lead continues.
The question now is: Who will eventually play the heroine opposite Devi Sri Prasad in one of the most anticipated Telugu films currently in production?
