Akhil Akkineni reveals plan to become full-time Indian citizen
Actor Akhil Akkineni has revealed that he will soon become a full-time Indian citizen. Akhil, who found success with the latest film “Lenin”, was born in the United States to actor Nagarjuna and Amala, and currently holds American citizenship.
Although he has not yet given up his U.S. citizenship and does not currently hold Indian citizenship, he was quick to clarify that this doesn’t make him any less Indian.
“I am 100% Indian,” Akhil asserted, adding that he is now in the process of formally becoming an Indian citizen. In a recent podcast appearance, he revealed that he plans to give up his American citizenship and officially become an Indian citizen within the next few months.
Akhil also spoke about his wish to make a sequel to “Sisindri,” the film he starred in as a child actor. He shared that he would love to produce Sisindri 2 if he has a son someday. And revealed that he has already discussed this idea with his wife, Zainab.
