Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni has revealed that superstar Mahesh Babu watched “Srinivasa Mangapuram” and thoroughly enjoyed the film.
Jaya Krishna, the grandson of legendary actor Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu, is making his debut as a lead actor with “Srinivasa Mangapuram.” Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the film also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actress Rasha Thadani, daughter of Raveena Tandon.
Speaking about Mahesh Babu’s reaction, Jaya Krishna said the superstar has always guided him throughout his career and was among the first to watch the film.
“Mahesh Babai guides me in every matter. He watched the film and was very happy. He liked it a lot and even sent me a message appreciating it,” Jaya Krishna said.
Mahesh Babu’s appreciation is expected to generate more curiosity around the film, which is slated for a theatrical release on July 30.
He has responded to the comparisons between him and Mahesh Babu. Asked about comments that he resembled Mahesh Babu in a few shots, Jaya Krishna said the similarity may be noticeable in some moments, but not throughout the film.
“In a few shots, people may feel that way. But once you watch the film, you won’t think of Mahesh Babu. You’ll only see the character on screen,” he said.
