Peddi dominates Telugu states and overseas, awaits Hindi boost

Peddi trailer

“Peddi” continues to perform strongly in the Telugu states and overseas markets. The film has registered impressive collections across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, proving that audience interest remains steady after a blockbuster opening.

In Andhra Pradesh, the sports drama is enjoying a massive run, while Telangana has also delivered encouraging numbers despite higher ticket prices impacting occupancy in some centres. More importantly, the film has not witnessed the sharp drop that is often associated with big-ticket releases after the first day. Overall, “Peddi” has posted solid collections in its first three days.

The overseas market remains another major strength. In North America, the film is inching towards the $2.5 million mark and is expected to comfortably cross the $3 million milestone in the coming days.

However, the Hindi market remains the only area of concern. Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor undertook extensive promotional activities across North India, including events in Mumbai, Bhopal and Delhi. While the team expected the film to gain momentum after its opening day, the anticipated jump on Saturday did not materialise.

With Sunday traditionally being the biggest day of the weekend, the film’s performance in the Hindi belt tomorrow will be crucial in determining its long-term prospects in North India.
