Bhagavanth Kesari, Leo and Tiger Nageswara Rao

Last weekend, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Bhagavanth Kesari,” Thalapathy Vijay’s “Leo,” and Ravi Teja’s “Tiger Nageswara Rao” were released in theaters to capitalize on the Dasara holiday period. Bhagavanth Kesari leads in Telugu states

“Bhaganth Kesari” had a strong first-day performance but did not fare well on the second day. The film, however, picked up later and had a strong Sunday. So the first weekend collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are overall good. “Bhagavanth Kesari,” directed by Anil Ravipudi, was not your typical Balakrishna mass action drama. It differs slightly from his style and is more family-oriented. As a result, the film’s box office returns aren’t particularly massive. Nonetheless, it remained at the top of the box office in Telugu states this weekend.

The film grossed more than $1 million in the United States. It is Balakrishna’s third successful film in the United States, following ‘Akhanda’ and ‘Veera Simha Reddy,’ both of which grossed over $1 million. However, “Bhagavanth Kesari” is expected to gross far more than these two films.

Leo’s storm at the box office

“Leo” starring Thalapathy Vijay is causing a stir at the Indian box office. The film is creating a box office storm in Tamil Nadu. The action drama is expected to become one of the all-time highest-grossing films in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The film was a huge success in Telugu states as well. It grossed nearly Rs 30 crore in Telugu states, making it the first Vijay film to do so. It’s a huge success for Vijay in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Leo

In the USA, the film is all set to touch $5M, a huge record in Vijay’s career. His previous films didn’t even make $2 million.

Tiger Nageswara Rao lags behind

Due to the competition from these two films, “Tiger Nageswara Rao” starring Ravi Teja suffered. The film’s collections were also impacted by its lengthy runtime. However, the filmmakers quickly realized their mistake and cut the film by 30 minutes. It gained traction on the third day. We have to wait and see for the film’s performance for the remaining two days for this festive period to guess its overall result. The film made less than $300k in the USA.

Overall, “Leo” is a super hit in Telugu, and “Bhagavanth Kesari” is an average grosser.
