Playing a radio jockey

Having watched some of Lingusaamy’s movies like ‘Awaara’, I didn’t think twice when he offered me this role. He makes entertaining films. I play a Radio Jockey (RJ) in ‘The Warriorr’. My character’s name is Whistle Mahalaxmi. Working on this film was a new and learning experience.

Chemistry with Ram

Ram is a livewire, before signing the film I knew that I had to work hard to match to his energy. Glad to receive the appreciation for our pairing on screen now. The two songs went viral. I got positive reports for my dancing skills. When I was learning the Telugu language, Ram’s ‘ismart Shankar’ and ‘Ready’ were part of my DVD collections to watch. I was amazed by his performance and dancing skills.

On the sets, he is quite friendly. I was initially nervous about sharing screen space with him. On the first day itself, I understood he was a cool guy and has the patience to make us feel comfortable.

Foraying into Tamil

‘The Warriorr’ is also simultaneously releasing in Tamil and it is my first movie in Tamil. I have also signed a straight Tamil film opposite Suriya. Lucky to get many offers in Telugu and Tamil in a short span.
