Expectedly, Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’, a biopic of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, has been postponed. The film which was scheduled for a theatrical release on February 11th got postponed indefinitely.
Due to COVID-19 conditions, all pan-Indian films are pulling out from their announced dates. ‘Major’ followed the same path.
“Owing to the aggravation of the covid situation and curfew/limitations in most parts of the country, the release of Major stands postponed. We would announce a new release date soon. Please adhere to all covid protocols and stay safe. Our nation isn’t safe, till each one of us is safe,” reads the official statement.
Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, ‘Major’ has Adivi Sesh playing Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the hero of the 26/11 attacks. Saiee Manjrekar is the female lead.
