Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ has spoiled the plans of Adivi Sesh’s ‘Major’. Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’ is a biopic on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in action during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The patriotic film wanted to have a release on August 13 as an Independence Day special. However, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ had announced this date before any other movie locking the date. So, the makers of ‘Major’, which is produced by Sony Pictures and Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment, were forced to come on 2nd July.
The release date has officially been announced today.
‘Major’ is being directed by Sasi Kiran Tikka. The film brings Adivi Sesh and Sasi Kiran together after the highly successful ‘Goodachari’.
‘Major’ has Saiee Manjrekar as the female lead. Sobhita Dhulipala plays a crucial role.
