The team behind “Akhanda 2 Thaandavam” has been consistently reiterating their commitment to release the film during the Dasara season. The makers had earlier locked September 25, 2025, as the release date, and the shoot has been progressing at a brisk pace. Currently, the filming is underway at Ramoji Film City.
While the team is working overtime to meet the Dasara deadline, rumors suggest that the film has already exceeded its budget.
Director Boyapati Srinu is mounting “Akhanda 2” on a much grander scale than any of his previous films. Given the box office success of his past collaborations with Balakrishna, he’s confident that “Akhanda 2” will generate immense business buzz. To meet the towering expectations, he is sparing no expense to deliver spectacular visuals and high-octane action episodes.
However, this ambition has resulted in the project overshooting its original budget, raising concerns about cost recovery.
The film stars Pragya Jaiswal and Samyuktha as the female leads, with Balakrishna playing a dual role. Produced by 14 Reels Plus and presented by Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini, the film features music by Thaman.
