Actor Nagarjuna took the initiative of holding talks with the Andhra Pradesh government about ticket price hikes and other issues. On Thursday, he met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in his residence in Tadepalli. Nagarjuna had a lunch meeting with the Chief Minister.
Producer Niranjan Reddy of Matinee Entertainments also accompanied Nagarjuna.
The Andhra Pradesh government is dodging the issue of ticket prices of theaters in Andhra Pradesh. The Telugu film industry is requesting the government to hike ticket prices in single theaters in municipalities and villages, which were capped at Rs 40 recently.
The government wants to review the ticket prices after the online ticketing portal is introduced. The Andhra Pradesh government is coming with a portal to sell the tickets in all theaters to contain the tax evasions.
Nagarjuna has a long association with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and he is now lobbying on behalf of the Telugu film industry.
