On the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda’s plan to team up with another top director Sukumar is facing problems. A film in their combination was announced last year with much hype. As per the plan, that the film should hit the floors in 2022.

Sukumar has suddenly decided to split Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa’ into two parts as the story has such scope. Sukumar wanted to film two parts of ‘Pushpa’ back-to-back and finish his work by summer 2022. But the film’s hero Allu Arjun has a different say.

Allu Arjun wants to complete the first part of ‘Pushpa’ by September this year and release the movie in 2021 itself. He will then finish another film called ‘Icon’ and returns to the shoot of ‘Pushpa 2’. Allu Arjun’s idea is to see the box-office result of ‘Pushpa’ part one before beginning the filming of part two.

The shooting of first part of ‘Pushpa’ is progressing in Hyderabad now.

Allu Arjun’s decision invariably leads to Sukumar occupying with this project until 2023. He can only take up Vijay Deverakonda’s film after the completion of part two of ‘Pushpa’. Thus, Allu Arjun has put Vijay Deverakonda on the spot.

Vijay Deverakonda, on the other hand, has signed two more films for Mythri Movie Makers (to be directed by Shiva Nirvana) and Dil Raju’s SVC.
