Anaswara Rajan balances heroine and key roles in Telugu

Anaswara Rajan needs little introduction among young moviegoers, thanks to her impressive work in Malayalam cinema. The Kerala-born actress is now steadily making her mark in Telugu films.
Her Telugu debut, “Champion”, opposite Roshan Meka, failed to create an impact at the box office. However, the setback has not affected her prospects in the industry. Filmmakers have taken note of her screen presence, natural acting ability, and charming looks, leading to new opportunities.
Interestingly, Anaswara is currently working on two Telugu films that showcase different sides of her talent.
In Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Mega158”, directed by Bobby Kolli, she plays the daughter of the senior star. While it is not a conventional heroine role, it is said to be a significant character with considerable importance to the story. Sharing screen space with Chiranjeevi is expected to bring her wider recognition among mass audiences.
At the same time, Anaswara is playing the female lead in “Itlu Arjuna”, a youthful entertainer produced by director Venky Kudumula. The film introduces Aneish as the hero, while Anaswara plays the young woman who captures his heart.
The recently released first single, “Hai Re”, composed by Thaman and sung by Anirudh Ravichander, has been gaining traction online, bringing additional attention to the project. With two contrasting roles in hand, Anaswara Rajan appears to be carving out a promising space for herself in Telugu cinema.
