Anupama Parameswaran turns rustic as Sulochana Rani in Bhogi

Anupama Parameswaran takes on a striking rural avatar in “Bhogi,” where she plays Kandula Sulochana Rani.

The makers unveiled her first look, presenting her as a barefoot village woman carrying a basket of leaves, dressed in a simple half saree. Her intense expression hints at resilience and inner strength, setting the tone for a powerful role.

Sulochana earns her livelihood by making leaf plates from Moduga leaves and is portrayed as a spirited woman deeply connected to nature. The character is said to be central to the emotional core of the film.

Directed by Sampath Nandi and starring Sharwanand in the lead, “Bhogi” is a period action drama set in the 1960s against a rural backdrop. The team has already completed major schedules across forest regions and is gearing up for the next phase of shoot.
