Popular Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap, known for films like ‘Dev D’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur,’ has now become busy as an actor in Tamil and Malayalam films. His portrayal as the main villain in the Vijay Sethupathi starrer “Maharaja” won rave reviews.
Anurag Kashyap is now making his debut as an actor in Telugu in a film named “Dacoit.” Adivi Sesh plays the main lead in this action drama. Mrunal Thakur is the film’s leading lady.
Releasing a first-look poster of his character, the makers of “Dacoit” revealed that Anurag Kashyap plays an inspector.
“Playing a police officer who is an Ayyappa devotee is both fun and challenging. I am truly looking forward to playing this character in two languages, shooting in Hindi as well as in Telugu. To get the same impact in both languages is the challenging part, something I am thoroughly enjoying,” Anurag Kashyap said in a statement.
Directed by Shaneil Deo, “Dacoit” is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios.
