AP Govt setting up film school in Amaravathi

Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to set up a Film and Television Institute at Amaravathi, the new capital city.

After careful examination of the proposal submitted by the MD, APSFTVTDC, Government hereby agreed to establish a Film & Television Institute at Amaravathi. Further, the Government hereby agreed to constitute a committee for setting up of Film & TV Institute at Amaravathi,” a Government order said.

After bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the Government has been trying to encourage film industry and make the filmmakers to shift to AP. The Telugu film industry is settled at Hyderabad in Telangana.
