As the film gears up for release, there is talk that theaters may be shut down starting June 1.In this backdrop, Andhra Pradesh Cinematography and Tourism Minister Sri Kandula Durgesh has instructed the Principal Secretary of the Home Department, Sri Kumar Vishwajeet, to initiate a formal inquiry into the recent decision by a section of exhibitors to close cinema halls beginning June 1, 2025.

The directive comes amid reports suggesting that certain individuals or groups may be pressuring theater owners to shut operations ahead of the release of “Hari Hara Veera Mallu.”

Responding to the controversy, Minister Durgesh emphasized the need to investigate not only the origin of the bandh call but also allegations that exhibitors and distributors may have formed a cartel to influence business decisions in a manner detrimental to the industry.
