After the formation of the state, Telangana has created 23 new districts taking the total number to 33. Andhra Pradesh’s government also mooted the idea of creating a total of 25 districts from the existing 13.
Now, actor Nandamuri Balakrishna who represents the Hindupur assembly constituency demanded that his constituency should be made into a new district. He also said he will go to any length for the creation of a new district.
The actor-politician suggested the government to split the current Ananthapuram district into two as Ananthapuram and Hindupuram.
While speaking to the party cadre on Monday in his constituency, he said he will continue the fight for the district and would not hesitate to meet the Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy personally.
Balakrishna has stopped participating in shoots since the lockdown was announced. Director Boyapati is directing Balakrishna in an action thriller that has completed 40 percent of its shoot.
