Various distributors have confirmed that Lyca Productions informed them that “Indian 2” (“Bharateeyudu 2” in Telugu) will not be released in June. The film has been moved to July.
The reason for the delay is post-production. Director Shankar has been juggling between filming “Game Changer” and post-production on “Indian 2”. So, the delay occurred. The production company has decided to move the film to the third week of July.
The official new release date will be announced soon. It is very likely that July 18th will be the new release date.
“Bharateeyudu 2″/”Indian 2” is the sequel to Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s 1990 blockbuster “Bharateeyudu/Indian”. Surprisingly, Shankar also completed a significant portion of the filming of “Indian 3”. Kamal Haasan will reprise his role as Senapathy, a freedom fighter.
This sequel also features Kajal, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth in other important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director.
