Boney Kapoor says no to Sridevi biopic

We’ve seen biopics of renowned actors like NT Ramarao and Savitri. There are currently initiatives to develop a film about the late Sridevi, whose influence extended across numerous generations and transcended boundaries.

However, Boney Kapoor, her husband and renowned producer, stated in a recent interview that he will not tolerate such an attempt. He stated that he will not allow a biopic to be made about his late wife till his death.

It is unclear what concerns him about such an attempt.

Sridevi, India’s biggest female star in the 1980s, remains a timeless symbol in Indian movie history. She began her career as a child performer, appearing in films in multiple languages. Sridevi dominated the industry for over five decades. Sridevi, born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan on August 13, 1963, was the number one actress in the Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi industries during the 1980s.

Sridevi received the Padma Shri in 2013. Her daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, is a rising star. Sridevi died in her hotel room in Dubai in 2018. There are several contentious theories about her death.
