Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ is to be released simaltanously in Telugu as ‘Vaarasudu’ on January 12, 2023. While the film has huge craze in Tamil Nadu due to the actor’s massive fan base, it has yet to generate any sort of buzz in Telugu.
Neither the songs nor the other promotional materials were well received in the Telugu market.
On the other hand, the makers of ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ and ‘Waltair Veerayyya’ have created a lot of buzz around their films with fantastic promotions. Every day, a song, a music video, another clip, or a photograph is released from these films.
Dil Raju is banking that he has best theatres for “Vaarasudu”. When there is no hype, however, audiences do not flock to the theatres. That should worry Dil Raju.
Advance ticket sales for ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ are also strong in the United States. ‘Varisu’ (Vaarasudu) is no match for these films in the United States. Dil Raju intends to create buzz following the release of the trailer. Will this film be able to stand up to the might of Telugu’s biggies this Sankranthi season?
‘Vaarasudu,’ directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is primarily a Tamil film. Rashmika Mandanna plays the lead. Thaman’s songs have not done well in Telugu.
