Choreographer Jani Master, popular for creat ing dance steps for numerous successful songs in Telugu and Tamil, has been charged with sexual assault and intimidation of a female victim. The Raidurgam police in Hyderabad booked him for allegedly sexually assaulting and threatening a dancer.
The victim, a Madhya Pradesh resident, filed a police complaint against him. Jani Master, as per her allegation, had perpetrated sexual assault against her on several times.
The police charged him under Sections 376 (2)(n) (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 323 (voluntarily causing harm) of the IPC.
Jani Master recently won the National Award for Best Choreography for the Tamil film “Thiruchitrambalam.” He choreographed for popular songs such as “Rowdy Baby,” among others. He is also a member of Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party.
