CM Revanth Reddy reiterates not allowing benefit shows

CM Revanth Reddy meeting

A delegation of 50 celebrities belonging to the Telugu film industry today met Telangana CM Revanth Reddy to discuss all aspects and the measures to be taken for its development. CM Revanth Reddy reiterated his remarks from the legislative assembly during the meeting at the Command Control Center in Banjara Hills. He stated the government will not allow benefit shows henceforth.

Nagarjuna Akkineni, Venkatesh Daggubati, K. Raghavendra Rao, Allu Aravind, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Trivikram, and Murali Mohan are the prominent members of this delegation. The delegation was led by Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju, with participation from CM, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. The Sandhya theatre stampede and the controversy surrounding film actor Allu Arjun’s arrest prompted this meeting. The government reportedly screened a video about the Sandhya Theater stampede for the delegation.

Interestingly, there were no new proposals made. It appears to be an attempt to bridge the gap between the current government and industry stakeholders.

The government, besides reiterating its version about benefit shows, also asked the celebrities to promote messages against drugs and also promote eco and temple tourism. CM also reportedly stated that the government will take serious action against the celebrities’ bouncers if they cross limits.

All our celebrities made some regular proposals.
