‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’: Rajkummar Rao stuns as Ganguly

The makers of ‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’ unveiled the film’s first-look poster today to mark the birthday of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. Along with the poster, they also announced that the biopic will release in theatres worldwide on May 14, 2027, during an extended holiday weekend.
The striking first-look poster features Rajkummar Rao recreating Ganguly’s unforgettable jersey-waving celebration from the Lord’s balcony after India’s historic NatWest Trophy victory over England in 2002.
The iconic moment has long been regarded as a symbol of India’s fearless new approach under Ganguly’s captaincy and remains one of the most memorable images in Indian cricket history.
The film traces the remarkable journey of Sourav Ganguly, from a promising young cricketer to one of India’s most influential captains.
Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, ‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’ is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films.
