Delays dent Rukmini Vasanth’s big-league entry

Rukmini Vasanth is one of the fastest-rising young actresses, with her popularity soaring across social media and brand endorsements pouring in. She has also landed roles in major big-ticket films, but two of her most high-profile projects are now facing delays.

She recently completed her part in Yash’s “Toxic”, which features a star-studded female cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Huma Qureshi. The film was expected to boost her pan-Indian reach, given Yash’s massive popularity. However, “Toxic” has been repeatedly postponed, first from March to June, and is now facing an indefinite delay.

On the other hand, Rukmini also bagged what is considered the biggest project of her career in Telugu cinema, “Dragon”, opposite NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel. Initially planned for a June 2026 release, the film has now been pushed to June 2027. Interestingly, the makers are yet to officially announce her inclusion.

With both these high-profile films delayed, Rukmini Vasanth’s big leap to the next level is facing an unexpected slowdown.
