Doctors say Saif Ali Khan is stable and recovering well

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Mumbai home early Thursday morning in what appears to be a robbery attempt. Saif Ali Khan received six stab wounds, two of which were severe, necessitating surgery.

The acclaimed actor, who also acted in the Telugu film ‘Devara,’ is now stable, and doctors have released a statement stating that he is healing well from surgery. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, which is close to Saif’s residence in the Bandra area.

The statement reads as:

“He sustained major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to lodged knife in the spine.  Surgery was performed to remove the knife and also repair the leaking spinal fluid.  Two other deep wounds on his left hand and one on the neck was repaired by plastic surgery team. He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger.”
