Since the official launch of Allu Arjun and director Atlee’s sci-fi film, tentatively referred to as #AA22xA6 (Allu Arjun’s 22nd film and Atlee’s 6th), several speculations have been making rounds about its genre, story, female cast, and the multiple roles the hero plays. While some turned out true, many are completely baseless.
We reached out to our sources for authentic information about the four roles Allu Arjun is said to be portraying. Here’s our exclusive update…
No four roles
No, Allu Arjun is not playing four roles. Not even triple. He is doing a dual role: two characters that are entirely different from each other in age, look, mannerisms, and overall getup. Currently, director Atlee is shooting sequences related to one character on a specially designed set in Mumbai. The highlight of this set is the cutting-edge technology systems, on par with Hollywood studios, which allow seamless blending of visual effects after filming.
According to sources, Atlee is filming as per the script flow. He is wrapping up sequences of the character that appears in the beginning of the film first. That explains why there hasn’t been much visible change in Allu Arjun’s physique, as observed during his frequent shooting trips to Mumbai. The other character’s sequences will be filmed in later schedules.
Beyond pan-India
Atlee has cracked a unique script. This is a sci-fi film loaded with mass masala moments. He is aiming to elevate himself into the next league of directors and targeting a much bigger market, going beyond the current “pan-India” bracket.
So far, the makers have officially announced only Deepika Padukone as the female lead. However, there will be four more heroines. Names like Rashmika Mandanna and Mrunal Thakur have already surfaced in media circles, but the team plans to announce the next heroine only after the ongoing schedule is wrapped.
