Director Sukumar is leaving no stone unturned to make ‘Pushpa’ a massive film. He is adding more popular faces to the project as the shoot progresses. He has now roped in Anasuya in a powerful role in ‘Pushpa’.
Anasuya Bharadwaj has started shooting for the film that is progressing in Hyderabad.
One must remember that Anasuya played Rangammattha, a pivotal character in Sukumar’s previous blockbuster, Rangasthalam. Her performance won accolades. The film also revived her acting career.
‘Pushpa’ stars Allu Arjun in the titular character. Set in the backdrop of the Seshachalam forest range in Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, the action drama has Malayalam superstar Fahadh Fazil as the antagonist and Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine. Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling this pan-Indian project.
Anasuya is currently playing key roles in Krishnavamsi’s ‘Ranga Marthanda’, and Ravi Teja’s ‘Khiladi’.
