Director Shankar has begun pre-production of his next film that features Ram Charan as the leading man. He is also finalizing the main crew for his Pan-Indian project.
Sai Madhav Burra is penning dialogue. Jani Master will be the main choreographer for songs.
Now, reliable sources have informed us that he has also finalized the music director. Shankar is working with Thaman for the first time. Thaman, who is at the peak of his career, will compose music for this mega movie. Thaman had acted as one of the boys in Shankar’s coming-of-age drama ‘Boys’ in 2003. Now, he is composing music for his guru.
Shankar and Thaman have recently tested some old musical instruments and folk singers. Shankar will announce Thaman’s name shortly.
To be produced by Dil Raju, the untitled film will start rolling shortly.
Shankar’s collaboration with AR Rahman is legendary. He also worked with Harris Jayaraj on a couple of movies, and he recently teamed up with Anirudh Ravichander for Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Indian 2’. Thaman will be the fourth music director to work with Shankar.
