The hospitalization of Bollywood actor Rajesh Sharma has triggered calls for an official investigation, with the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) demanding a high-level probe into the incident.

Reports initially claimed that Rajesh Sharma’s health deteriorated after a suspected insect bite while shooting for Prabhas’s upcoming film at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Following these reports, AICWA urged Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to order an immediate, impartial, and transparent investigation to ensure the safety of artists and technicians working on film sets.

In a statement issued by AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, the association also demanded that the film’s producer bear the actor’s medical expenses and called for strict legal action if any negligence is found during the inquiry.

However, conflicting versions have emerged regarding the cause of Rajesh Sharma’s hospitalization. The actor’s assistant has denied reports of an insect bite, stating that Rajesh was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata due to diabetes-related health complications. On the other hand, some actors have maintained that he developed an infection following an insect bite during the shoot at Ramoji Film City.

As the conflicting claims continue to circulate, the production house, Mythri Movie Makers, has not yet issued an official statement clarifying the incident.

Rajesh Sharma is a well-known character actor who has appeared in several acclaimed Hindi films, including Khosla Ka Ghosla, Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica, and The Dirty Picture.
