There have been multiple reports that director Puri Jagannadh is altering the script of his current film featuring Vijay Deverakonda due to the changed scenario. The coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown brought the entire movie industry to the grinding halt. Shootings are yet to resume; movie theaters have remained shut.

Set in the backdrop of Mumbai, the Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Fighter’ (working title) wrapped up a 40-day schedule in Mumbai early this year. During this lengthy schedule, a few action sequences, some romantic scenes involving Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, and sentiment scenes with Ramya Krishna have been shot.

But with Maharashtra is posting a huge number of corona positive cases, no filmmaker is evincing interest to resume the shoots in Mumbai. What will Puri Jagannadh do? Will he change the script to enable the shoots in Hyderabad?

Charmme Kaur who is co-producer of the film said that they haven’t made any changes to the script, nor they have plans to shift the background of the story. “Nothing has been changed n nothing will be changed !! Fighter script is a blockbuster.. shoot will begin only after corona crises settles down .. we r super duper confident about FIGHTER .. original title announcement soon,” she posted on Twitter.

The boxing movie is currently referred to as ‘Fighter’ but the new title will be announced shortly.
