Four films competing on August 24/25
We had seen three way fight last week that affected collections. Next week, we will be witnessing a similar fight among four movies. Vijay Devarakonda’s intense youth drama ‘Arjun Reddy’ has already locked its date as 25th August. The movie is directed by newcomer Sandeep Vanga. Vijay Devarakonda who shot to fame with ‘Pelli Choopulu’ needs to deliver hit with this as scored a dud recently. Even though he has many movies on hands, the young actor’s graph will go down if he can’t deliver a decent hit with this.
On the other hand, much-delayed ‘Kathalo Rajakumari’, starring Nara Rohith and Naga Shourya, is finally hitting the screens on 25th August. The film has one song composed by Ilayaraja. Namitha Pramod is the heroine.
Two dubbed movies Ajith starrer ‘Vivekam’ and Dhanush’s ‘VIP 2’ are set for competition with these Telugu flicks. Dhanush’s ‘VIP 2’ is sequel to his super hit movie ‘Raghuvaran BTech’ but the movie bombed in Tamilnadu. So, it lost the buzz now. On the other hand, Ajith’s film is going to be released with much fanfare, though he has no major market in Telugu states.
