Gowtam Tinnanuri: I will direct Ram Charan someday
Gowtam Tinnanuri is back in the spotlight with the success of “Kingdom.” The director first rose to fame with “Jersey” and soon began receiving offers from top stars, including Ram Charan. At one point, Tinnanuri was expected to direct Ram Charan after the actor completed his film with Shankar. However, the project didn’t materialize.
Reportedly, Ram Charan felt that the story Gowtam narrated didn’t match his larger-than-life image. There were even rumors that the script of “Kingdom” was the same one initially pitched to Charan.
Gowtam Tinnanuri has firmly denied these speculations. “I narrated a story to Ram Charan, and he liked it. He asked me to develop it into a full script. But later, I felt it wouldn’t do justice to his stardom. The story of Kingdom was never narrated to him. I will definitely direct Ram Charan someday. We’re still in touch,” he clarified.
That said, his explanation hasn’t entirely convinced fans. Meanwhile, the director confirmed that he will go ahead with “Kingdom 2.”
